Nazia Ahmed - Support Worker

About me:

I have been involved with RAMP, Women's Project and British Red Cross which work for asylum seekers, refugees and homeless people. I have lived experience of being an asylum seeker, and have had help from local charities so I realised the importance of the role these charities play. I wanted to make a change to people's life who are experiencing homelessness, hunger and are going through complex procedures of asylum, appeals and move on to a settled status. Being a part of One Roof Leicester has given me an opportunity to support vulnerable people in and around Leicester.
