ORL buys a second home
ORL has bought their second house. The new three bed property will allow us to provide accommodation to three more single people who are homeless. The ORL team will be spending the next few weeks making sure that work to ensure it meets fire safety regulations are carried out e.g. fire doors, interlinked smoke detectors etc. Once complete we can furnish it and transform it into a home for our new residents.
Since March 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic started and we had to close the night shelter we have taken on two rented properties between where we can accommodate nine people. Some of our previous night shelter guests are now living in our homes.
We are hoping to acquire another rental property in early November taking the total of bed spaces across our houses to twenty eight.
