ORL Achievement Evening and AGM 2022
The ORL Achievement Evening and AGM took place at Central Baptist Church in central Leicester. Volunteers, supporters and funders heard from Santok about the range of services ORL offered to residents living in ORL Homes and individuals living in the community.
This year we provided intensive support which enabled 21 individuals to move out of an ORL Home. Those that secured a tenancy were supported with furnishing, decorating and cleaning their new homes prior to moving in.
We shared the vital role volunteers play in supporting the charity and our residents. Karyn mentioned that she will be sharing new volunteering opportunities in the near future, giving more opportunities to support our work
Eric expanded on ORL's finances explaining that both income and expenditure had risen as ORL had grown.
Salma shared the new Vision, Mission and Values which are a result of a years’ work with Pilotlight. The aims of ORL are to continue growing One Roof Homes, One Roof Move-ons, providing more opportunities for volunteering, ensuring financial resilience, excellent governance and ensuring staff have opportunities to develop.
At the AGM we said goodbye to one trustee, Bushra Ali and three new trustees were elected to the board, Tony Simpson, Candice Matthews and Nigel Hewett.
